The Molino del Puente is a stunning 18th century olive oil and flour mill converted into a

beautiful country residence available for luxury holiday rental, set in stunning landscaped gardens scented with fruit trees and just five minutes from the historical mountain pueblo of Ronda in the heart of Andalucia, southern Spain.

The mill has been lovingly converted into a 10 bedroom country house retaining all the old features where possible to create a unique atmosphere.

The gardens are built on two terraces landscaped with fruit trees which lead down to a beautiful waterfall cascading into the River Guadalcobacin.

Normally run as a hotel, this beautifully converted old mill is transformed during July and August, into an exclusive private country holiday home with all the services at hand - including a top local chef.

This Spanish country house has 10 ensuite bedrooms and sleeps 20 people comfortably with extra beds and cots available. Two of the rooms have Jacuzzi baths and two with handmade Moroccan style baths. There is a family room / junior suite which has its own separate lounge and the other five rooms are doubles with ensuite bathrooms, two having large private terraces. All the rooms have beautiful views over the courtyards, the river or the pool terrace. As well as having satellite television, each room has ceiling fans and central heating.

We can supply you with your own personal chef for the occasional meal or for the entire duration of your stay. Ian is part owner of the Molino and is well known locally - he will cater to all tastes and diets, everything from suckling pig to lobster, local regional dishes and traditional tapas to riverside BBQs. And don’t worry about the mess - we do all the clearing up for you!

Breakfast is buffet style and laid out for you and your party each morning (included in the price) and includes fresh fruits, bread, cereals and juices.

If you prefer self-catering, the fully equipped professional kitchen can be made available. The fully stocked honesty bar is open all hours. There is also an extensive wine list including local and international wines.

The dining room cum lounge features many of the original workings of the old mill. There is a central open fireplace for cooler evenings and big comfy sofas and plasma TV at one end and large dining area at the other.

There is also a separate library should you need to “escape”.

The Molino del Puente private country holiday home is just 5 minutes from the historic centre of Ronda famed for its amazing gorge and Arabic architecture.

It is also only an hour from Jerez, Cadiz, Seville and coastal resorts on the Costa del Sol and Costa de la Luz making it a perfect location to explore.

The exclusive country home is situated on the edge of 2 natural parks making it a very popular base for enjoying the surrounding countryside.

Ian and Elaine are on hand to organise excursions and activities for you including: bird watching with our local expert Peter Jones, guided walking in the Serranía de Ronda, with the famous Sandrine - or we can provide information and maps for local walks for self guided walking. Cycling in conjunction with Cycling Andalucian Experience - enjoy the stunning Andalucian countryside the best way possible - on two wheels! Canoeing on the beautiful Zaraha lake, horse riding through the Grazalema Natural Park and bodega visits to some of our famous local wineries.

If you want to stay a little nearer home, the private country house's swimming pool and terrace are the perfect place to relax and soak up the sun, enjoy a read and a jug of Sangria and there is outdoor table tennis should you feel energetic.
